This Pulitzer prize-winning tragicomedy follows the dynamics of a family in Pawhuska, Oklahoma seen through the eyes of an outsider. It soon becomes clear just how troubled the family is as the holes in their relationships grow. August: Osage County is a tensely satisfying comedy, interspersed with the remarkable cruelties and (occasional) kindnesses of family life.
